My favorite place I go to meet God and write

Welcome back to my blog!!! I know that I haven’t posted since August. So much has occurred since then. A mixture of things have taken place from excitement, troubling and mindblowing experiences. With all of those experiences, it has matured me even more into a more intimate relationship with God.

This topic was placed on my heart ❤︎ to share with those of you that may be struggling with using your gifts & talents. A lot of times we are confused on what using our talents for God is all about. The parable about the talents was referring to money but if you read deeper God has entrusted His wealth in us by showing the world how powerful and talented He is. When God blessed you with your talents it was a gift that was given specifically to you to use for HIS glory and not only if it fit in man’s certain category, traditions, the “norm”, popularity etc. Some people are ALWAYS going to find some way to either criticize, impose their beliefs, discourage you from using your talents. Remember the only person that you answer to is God. Your unique God given talent is tailor made to you and only you. God knew that your unique gift could only reach a certain group of people. That’s why we are all different. So when people say you shouldn’t be going there, working there, doing that, living there remember that you got your YES FROM GOD!!

I will be the first to say that my talents are so unique and mindblowing that God is still revealing them to me. There are things that I had NO IDEA 💡 that I was capable of. They are all working together for God’s purpose for my life. There are places that I can only go, people that only I can reach, influence that only I can have. Same with you. Your story is so unique and life-changing to the people that need you. PLEASE don’t give up because other people don’t agree with your God given path. If I took in all of the negative advice from others, I would NOT be where I am today. I was able to discern because I know my Daddy’s voice over everyone else’s. I challenge you to learn our Daddy’s voice.

I titled this Gifts & Talents fine print because there is so much to that parable that really isn’t shared. You have to understand the meaning behind it to be able to live out the Scriptures Matthew 25:19-29.

Are your talents and gifts sitting, wasting, waiting, etc. away because you have decided to be like the one man that hid his gold? That is a very dangerous place to be. You will start to live a life that you feel is meaningless, disconnected, full of complaints, self induced tiredness/stress. When you use your talents for the glory of God, you feel empowered and filled by His spirit. Also when you fully understand that the gifts that God gave you is not only for you, it’s for other people to look at you and ask what do you have within you that is illuminating like no other.

The fine print is…includes hard work, being an outsider, misunderstood, crazy looking (not mentally), isolation, relocation, frequent attacks from the enemy, haters, criticism, tears, pain, dieing to self daily (all the time), strength, fulfillment, joy, intimate relationship with God, walking with Jesus, protection, abundant mindblowing blessings, opportunities of a lifetime and the list goes on and on.

If there is something that you have been fearful of doing because of the opinions of others… WHEN GOD GIVES YOU THE YES…NOBODY CAN SAY NO!!! Step out off the boat love and walk with Jesus on the water. Yes it will be scary but remember who’s right there infront of you. Dream Big!! If your dreams don’t scare you then they aren’t big enough!

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

Here is another encouragement from John 15:4-5 where it is talking about the vine and the branches bearing fruit. This is a perfect reminder to you when the opinions of others start to come and the misunderstandings fire at you, take a look around at all of the fruit that your branches are bearing because of your obedience. Your fruit bearing is what speaks LOUDLY for you, not your verbal arguments that you engage in. Stay connected to the vine which is Jesus and everything that you grow with produce fruit 🍏🍒🍓🍌🍊🍋🍇🍈🍉🍐🍑🍍🌱. My life speaks for itself and so should yours.
