3:2 The process

I cannot believe that I am one week away from my big move. Throughout this whole entire process of transition, God has shown me how much I’ve grown deeper in him and that I’m at a different level in Him. My faith has been tested, stretched, grown and pruned for such a time as this.

Last week God blew my mind with my living arrangements. I’ll be living where I wanted to live at an AMAZING price with a person that I know AND in such a beautiful home. So you can’t tell me that having faith in God doesn’t payoff. Being obedient even when it doesn’t make sense is what God wants. He has everything worked out and He reveals His plan at the perfect time.

I had a BLAST as always with my Moni tonight. She and I have been best friends pretty much our whole lives. It’s so amazing how God has us work together in ministry. Tonight was supposed to be like a planning night for our class tomorrow BUT laughter and celebration took over.

This is our favorite sushi restaurant

The process that you will have to go through is a very tough one and I would not have a settled spirit if I didn’t tell you that. But the beauty of the new you and walking into greater is SO worth it all. You will cry, be angry, happy, excited, sad, confused and many many more emotions. Keep pushing past those feeling of wanting to give up.

I am honestly still pushing and have not arrived. The faith and trust in God that I am experiencing right now shocks me everyday that I wake up as I say “WOW I’m moving to NY”. I didn’t know how it was going to be done but it’s working out perfectly. The real mystery lies in what exactly I will be doing once I’m there. To be continued on that…….

‘Til next time my loves, trust the process and not the pain. Fall in love with the process!!!

3:2 Paths

Tonight’s post will be shorter because I want to leave you with some questions to reevaluate some things in your life. This idea was just laid on my heart. I titled this post Paths because we are all on a path of some sort. My path does not look like yours and vice versa. A dangerous outlook is comparison. What it all boils down to is, how are we utilizing the path that God created for us? I will admit that I have compared my path with other paths that my heart desired. For example, marriage and raising a family, traveling the world and having a certain type of lifestyle just to name a few. All that did was make me depressed, stagnant in every area of life, unhappy and miserable. I had to get to the point to where I was happy and content in both the good and the bad in my life. That only took place when I shifted my view from what I didn’t have to what I actually have right in front of me and within. One of the most awkward season that I went through was the season of moving back home, not having a job for some months and trying to find my place in church and home and with friends and family. But during that long season God was pruning me and molding me for this very moment as I’m preparing for my huge move to New York!! My path is tailor made just for me and God knows exactly why He chose me to carry it out. I do not have all of the answers to most of the questions that people ask me about my move. My one and only answer is God needs me there for an assignment. I honestly don’t know what it’s going to look like or what I will be doing BUT I will continue to watch God happen.

So here’s your questions for you to reflect on:

  1. What are you holding onto in this season that could be holding you back from getting to God’s path for you?
  2. Do you wish that your path was created differently?
  3. In a culture that prides itself on making a lot of money, do you get caught up in that sometimes?
  4. If God’s path for you included the very thing that you dislike the most, how would you approach your circumstances? (What would your attitude consist of)
  5. Does your current path fully represent Jesus? If not then what changes can be made to your path to match THE path made by God?

‘Til next time my loves!!!!!!

3:2 (day 03)

Soooooooooooooooooo… Let me start off by saying that today has been a rollercoaster of a day. From waking up early with the strong desire to listen to worship music to some changes in plans to my emotions skyrocketing to exhaustion and ending with a bursting through the ceiling with excitement from the news I received.

Y’all my prayers are being answered all at the perfect time. God knew that I would be in this exact spot with it all and at the perfect time… BOOM He shows up and shows out!!!

Remember my word for 2018 is TRUST. That is not very easy for me to do but I know that in order for God to take me to the places that I need to be, I MUST TRUST Him at all times.

Today signifies a powerful number. 3 represents the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. And today my friend the Trinity showed out on my behalf!!! He is ALWAYS listening and provides right on time.

As I take you on this journey with me, my prayer is that God will speak to each of you in a way that you KNOW that it is Him. In this year God is raising up His children to go into enemy territory and SHINE Jesus’ light for all to see. This is my current season and I know that wherever I’m going, God has prepared them for me and He has made room for my gifts and talents.

3:2 Discussion question:
What do you see yourself doing in 2018 for the Kingdom?聽
My answer: Sharing Jesus with this world in whatever field God has me in.

‘Til next time my loves…. make sure that you are leaving your comfort zone in the past!!

The race is on! Round & Around we go!

Philippians 3:13-14

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

This would be a great soul searching point to figure out what you are chasing after. Take some time to consult God to show you your heart 鉂わ笍. This will show you what you are truly chasing after in your life.

I will tell you that it’s not an easy pill to swallow IF what you’re chasing after聽things that are聽not in God’s will for your life. He will show you that your path is not the designed path that He created you to walk on. Trust me I have been on a path of obtaining everything that I wanted and thought would make me live a successful fulfilled life. Which left little room for God which was when I needed Him to come in a fix the hot mess of my life that I was creating. It wasn’t until I聽asked Him to show me the plan/path that He designed for me, that I actually felt joy, peace and guidance like no other.聽God had to completely shake up/detour my plans聽in order to unveil the once viewed as a road block that was under construction part of my聽path/life.聽View it as a new road that is new and less traveled with a mixture of beautiful scenery with some mysterious destinations that will become unveiled once聽you get to that聽location on your path.聽If you find yourself chasing after a career, a spouse, letters behind your name, fame, money etc. and you do not have God anywhere or He’s a very small part of your race, make Him first. I’m not saying that having all of those things is against God’s plan but if you didn’t seek Him first then it will all be in vain. Rememeber the Scripture that says only what we do for Christ will last. Those good works that were done out of self gratification and to show off for others will do us no good in heaven. It’s all about lining our priorities up with God’s priorities and not our own. He will show you your purpose IF you seek Him.

So I ask what are you chasing after in your life? The race was on the second you came into this world. We are all running our own race on different paths that hopefully ultimately lead to the greatest finish line of all times. I say hopefully because I pray that you all have accepted Christ as your personal savior so that you can cross that great finish line into eternity! 馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫馃弫

Here are some steps to running a purpose driven race: 馃弮馃憻
1. Seek God first in everything you do at all times Matthew 6:33
2. Pray/talk to God as often as you talk to someone that is close to you.
3. Build your relationship with Him.
4. Ask yourself if what you are chasing after will be a testimony to others to show how wonderful God is.
5. Understand that you will be uncomfortable and there will be a lot of stretching you as a person to become who God created you to be.
6. Stay encouraged through the disappointments.
7. Remind yourself that you will only be on this side of heaven for a short time and only what you do for Christ will last. Heaven is full of blessings and rewards for the faithful believers.

Are you wearing GOD-GGLES?

image

Have you ever wondered how it really looks to show love to others? Over the past few years I have discovered how to love everyone like God commands us to. Trust me when I tell you that it is not an easy task. When you look at them through the eyes of God, your whole outlook changes. That is when the compassion steps in and softening of 聽your heart steps in. Again this is no easy task that you can do on your own, keep God on your mind and practice showing this love to the world. 鉂わ笍馃實馃寧鉂わ笍

Helpful tools and benefits to help with wearing your God-ggles:
1. Remember the love that God has for you.

2. Recall the non loving things that you have done and said to people. Remember how they still love you inspite of your faults.

3. Your outlook on life will be a much lighter and cheerful one.

4. Fun to be around due to your loving nature.

5. Patience level will increase.

6. Discernment will be sole dictator of your existence due to the wisdom that you gain from God.

7. You will truly聽understand God’s love and be able to show it.

8. You will be able to spot distractions and be able to fight temptations.

These are just some benefits to wearing your God-ggles. You will have better than 20/20 vision!!!

Don’t leave home without your God-ggles each day 馃憮 馃彔 you need them to go along with your full armor of God.

Ephesians 6:10-18New American Standard Bible (NASB)

The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against [a]flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 [b]in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 [c]With all prayer and petition [d]pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, [e]be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,

Hidden treasures… I can’t believe it!!

One of The amazing Thrift Queens, Pippa of Too Cheap Blondes!!!

One of The Queens of Thrift, “Too cheap Blondes” Pippa

Anyone who really knows me, knows how much I pride myself on thrift store shopping! I enjoy the thrill of finding hidden treasures. We all have our personal opinions and outlooks聽on thrift stores. I personally think聽it is a blessing from God. Clothes, shoes, purses etc. that I know that I could not afford at the original prices are basically thrown in my聽lap for聽next聽to nothing basically. The keys to finding these hidden treasures are… PATIENCE, HAVE AN OPEN MIND聽& BRING EXCITEMENT! Those are my personal tips that I use and they have not failed me yet.

Last week I was blessed with the opportunity to win a contest that afforded me a $40 shopping spree at one of my favorite thrift stores. The reason I love Family thrift is because they have THE best prices and nice quality clothing for the whole family.

Ok so here’s聽how it all happened. About a month ago I was talking to one of my best friends Ramona about revamping and maturing my look.聽I stated that I need to start dressing like an almost 30 year old Academic Director. She told me that I have a unique style and that I should still embrace it but enhance it with matured pieces. So I said you’re right and I pray that I could get help from someone to find those pieces to complete my matured look. On my phone when you go to google search it will post random post from sites that you have visited before. So last Monday I saw a post from Too cheap Blondes about a contest that they were having and to submit a small paragraph stating why you should win. I stated that I need help maturing my look and how much I respect and love what they do etc.. I wrote it down on my Tuesday to-do list and sent it off with a prayer Tuesday morning. A couple of hours later, I received a text from Pippa asking if I could meet her to shop with her. So after I stopped screaming with excitement I texted her back saying yes ma’am! I thought it was a joke at first LOL! So on Wednesday morning, still clueless that I won the contest, I woke up energized and excited to receive help shopping. God always supplies your needs and desires that He sees fit to bless you with when you are doing your part. He will bless you in abundance!

I am beyond grateful and thankful to Pippa, Michelle and Jennifer that gave their time to help me out and for others as well. You ladies really touched my heart 鈾! It wasn’t until the very end that I realized that I won the contest, I thought that she was just going to give me some shopping pointers and help select outfits for me to purchase. Pippa selected dresses and other items that I would of never took the time to look at because it wasn’t my “normal” style. I thought about how God does the same thing with us when He designed and created us for our purpose. Many times we “look past” things that we think don’t fit our feelings and way of life and end up missing out on those hidden treasures that God created just for us. Pippa found a nice pair of Coach shoes that were my size and I would of never found them if it hadn’t been for her. The funny part about those shoes was I passed right by them and they were right in front of my face the whole time.

If you feel like you are passed by and over looked by many people, understand that you will be found and sought-after by those persons that need you and will appreciate you. They will see your true value and not where you ended up!
